Membership applications take between 2-5 working days to process and can take longer during busier periods before the annual congress. Please ensure you submit your application within plenty of time including any required additional information.

Individual membership is classified as Ordinary Membership.

An in-training rate is available for members who are studying full time for an academic qualification. This does not include those studying part time whilst working in another role (e.g. MD students). Applicants are required to provide written proof of their student status.

A reduced rate is available for members who are under 35 years of age, nurses, retired or are from countries below high income country status, as classified by the World Bank. Income status can be checked at the Worldbank website.

Members of ESE’s National Affiliated Societies are eligible for a discount on their ESE membership fees as follows:

  • Ordinary rate: €55 for National Affiliate Members
  • Reduced rate (including Nurses): €20 for National Affiliate Members
  • In-Training rate: €10 for National Affiliate Members
