EYES Clinical and Research Observership Programmes (C.O.P., R.O.P. and R.O.P. Advanced)
The first EYES Clinical Observership Programme (C.O.P.) was launched in 2019 for the 2020 EYES Clinical Observership Program (C.O.P.). A complementary Research Obeservership Programme (R.O.P.) was launched in 2021 to run alongside the C.O.P. in 2022.
The aim of this Programme is to provide the opportunity for ESE Early Career Investigators (ECI) from Europe to grow and learn during a short, one-month stay in various European endocrine centres of special interest. Due to different European laws the time spent at the host centre will be defined as an “observership".
A number of Observerships are awarded each year, of which three are funded by ESE (C.O.P. and R.O.P.) and the others are self-funded by the participant.
See here for further information on the Clinical Observership Programme (C.O.P.) and the Research Observership programme (R.O.P.).
Applications for the 2024 C.O.P and R.O.P exchange programme grants will open later this year.
In addition, we are excited to announce the launch of the “EYES Research Observership (R.O.P.) Advanced” Grant programme; as the next stage of the EYES R.O.P. programme. The R.O.P. Advanced programme will allow awardees to conduct basic or translational scientific projects at their allocated R.O.P. centre for up to three months, with a grant of up to €3,000 per awardee.
This new programme is aimed at experienced basic and translational scientists and clinicians with an advanced experience working in basic or translational projects.
See here for further information on the Research Observership Programme (R.O.P.) Advanced and more details and registration will be available in December 2023.
All applications will be reviewed by the EYES Committee plus the Chair of the Science Committee (R.O.P) and a representative of the Clinical Committee (C.O.P).
