The European Society of Endocrinology provides a support network and resources for endocrine nurses based in Europe, sharing expertise to advance their role and practice.
What ESE has to offer - at a glance
We aim to develop the role of endocrine nurses and raise the profile of endocrine nursing throughout Europe.
In order to strengthen communication with this key audience, endocrine nurses are represented with an official ex-officio role on the Executive Committee and through the Nurse Committee.

Courses
To support endocrine nurses throughout their career, we provide and endorse courses, like the ESE Talks... Nurses Webinar which focus on different topics throughout the year. In addition we offer a dedicated Nurse Programme at the European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE).

We provide a number of grants for ESE Nurse members to help cover the cost of attending the European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE), which takes place in Stockholm, Sweden in May 2024.

The prestigious ESE Awards programme recognises the success of our members and helps drive innovation and progression across all fields of endocrinology. We provide a dedicated ESE Award for nurses, the European Endocrine Nurse Award, which recognises excellence in Endocrinology nursing practice, nursing research, nursing leadership, nurse training and patient engagement.

The Competency Framework for Adult Endocrine Nursing was developed by a working group of UK Endocrine Specialist Nurses and the Society for Endocrinology (SfE) to enhance the clinical care that adults with an endocrine disorder receive. This useful tool for nurses across Europe and globally, focuses on the knowledge, skills and interventions relevant to nurses looking after adult patients with endocrine conditions.

ECE 2024
ECE 2024 will be held in Stockholm, Sweden from 11-14 May 2024. You can register and submit abstracts now. The Nurses' programme commences on Saturday 14 May, with the Nurses' Pre-Congress Course.
