For Researchers
ESE supports endocrine research scientists across Europe to advance knowledge and understanding of endocrine health, disease and treatment. We do this through career development, training, resources, grants and networking opportunities specifically for the endocrine research community.
We provide courses, grants and resources to support endocrine research scientists at all stages of their career, from PhD students to recognised experts in the field. We advocate, fund and celebrate endocrine research to advance the field internationally.
We provide specific Basic Science Courses and endorse others, to support research scientists throughout their careers. Our Themed Courses give specialists an opportunity to focus on state-of-the-art research in a particular area. Our annual Summer School offers a unique opportunity to stay up-to-date with basic research.

We provide a broad range of training, research and meeting grants to support research scientists at all stages of their career. For example, we support up to 100 basic scientists a year through our Basic Science Meeting Grants and help cover the cost of travel for young scientists through the Journal of Endocrinology Travel Grants. ESE Short-Term Fellowships fund international exchanges of up to three months in order to promote research collaboration.

The prestigious ESE Awards programme recognises the success of our members and helps drive innovation and progression across all fields of endocrinology, such as the Transatlantic Alliance Award, which recognises the advancement of endocrinology research through international collaboration.

ESE acts as the voice of its members and National Affiliated Societies on the issues that matter most to the endocrinology community. The ESE Science Committee advises on advocacy work, and we welcome direct input from research scientists in the field, as we increase our advocacy activities and encourage government organisations to better support your needs.
