Scientific Programmes Project Manager

The European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) unites, supports and represents health care professionals involved in the care of patients with endocrine disease. Through individual and affiliated societies membership ESE reaches around 22,500 professionals from close to 100 countries.

ESE focuses its operations in 4 core areas: individual membership and membership services, publishing of scientific journals, organisation of its annual congress and educational events, and the development of bespoke projects to advance clinical care and research.

ESE is being run by a small and fully dedicated team that works with the ESE Officers and Executive Committee in the development and execution of its strategic and tactical plan.

We are recruiting a Scientific Programmes Project Manager. This role is responsible for supporting the educational, scientific and clinical activities of the Society delivered through the relevant committees and providing coordination and support to the ESE Council of Affiliated Societies (ECAS) activities. The role reports to the Scientific Programmes Manager.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and project planning skills and be able to work across a range of activities and tasks. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of other European language(s) is preferable. No formal project management training is required. Travel will be required, and the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel mainly, but not exclusively, in Europe.
