SBEM/ESE Joint Workshop at 35th CBEM: Advances and future management of endocrine and metabolic diseases

The 35th Brazilian Congress of Endocrinology and Metabolism (CBEM) is taking place at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil, from 3-7 September 2022. As part of the programme, the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (SBEM) and ESE have joined forces to offer a workshop on 'Advances of future management of endocrine and metabolic diseases' which will take place from 09:00-12:00 (GMT-3), on Tuesday 6 September. The speakers are from various countries in Europe and the session will be chaired by Paulo Miranda, Vice President of SBEM.
The following topics will be discussed during this workshop:
- The crossroads between obesity, cancer and cardiovascular diseases - Davide Carvalho (Portugal)
- Acromegaly: now and beyond - Sebastian Neggers (Netherlands)
- Adrenal insufficiency: Long-term outcomes with current treatment strategies- Gudmundur Johannsson (Sweden)
- The interplay between oncology and endocrinology in the treatment of well-differentiated neuroendocrine neoplasms - Wouter de Herder (Netherlands)
