Dear Nurse Colleagues
We are delighted to invite you to the 21st European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE) which will take place in Lyon, France. Our Nursing Programme will start on Saturday 18th May with a half-day pre-congress course which will be held jointly with the World Alliance of Pituitary Organizations (WAPO) and the French Endocrine Nurses Group, where we will share our collaborative work and expertise in pituitary conditions. We are also pleased to have secured funding for 25 travel grants of €400 for ESE Nurse members to attend the pre-congress course.
For the main ECE Nurse Programme, our two MDT symposia will bring the latest developments in parathyroid disorders and immunotherapy with relevance to endocrinology, and Professor Ruth Northway will be our Nurse Expert discussing holistic care for patients with intellectual/learning disabilities. We are also delighted to celebrate the launch of the first ever textbook published for endocrine nurses, Advance Practice in Endocrinology Nursing, which was initiated under the auspices of ESE and edited by members of the ESE Nurses Working Group. Please join us for the launch event and a series of workshops during the professional development and networking session on Sunday afternoon.
We would welcome your suggestions for future topics and speakers for our sessions and ideas for European-wise project collaborations or exchange programmes.
It is also a great pleasure to inform you that once again the congress registration fees for ESE nurse members will be substantially reduced to just €130 Euros. You can join the ESE Nurses Network for a reduced rate for nurses at just €35 Euros annually (€20 if you register via you National Society).
ECE 2019 Nurse Travel Grants
ESE is pleased to offer twenty five travel grants of €400 for nurses who will be attending the ECE 2019 pre-congress event ‘Joint Meeting of ESE nurses, French endocrine nurses and WAPO’ on Saturday 18 May 2019. Further details are available here. These grants have been made possible by the kind support of Pfizer and Ipsen Pharma.
These travel grants will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis but priority will be given to nurses who are also attending the main ECE 2019 congress and are presenting a poster.
We look forward to seeing you in Lyon to share our expertise and to celebrate the advances in Endocrine Nursing.
