CME

We have applied for CME accreditation from the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®).

Certificate of Attendance

A Certificate of Attendance will be available for all delegates attending the ECE 2023 Congress. This will be available via the ECE 2023 platform after the event closes.

As of 1 June 2022, all COVID-19 restrictions in Turkey have been lifted, and passengers arriving in Turkey are no longer required to present proof of vaccination or negative PCR test results. However, COVID-19 entry requirements may change at short notice, please check the specifics with your airline before you travel.

Delegates/group leaders are responsible for arranging appropriate travel insurance for their Group and for ensuring that all individuals in the Group meet all COVID-19 requirements. This includes the provision and completion of all necessary documentation and testing for travel which may be in place at the time of travel to and from Istanbul, Turkey.

Delegates are personally responsible for all mandatory testing requirements that they may need in order to travel to and from Istanbul and stay for the duration of ECE 2023 (Saturday 13 May to Tuesday 16 May 2023). We recommend obtaining travel insurance for your trip and reviewing all accommodation and travel Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) before booking in light of COVID-19 restrictions.

Please note: ESE will not cover or be responsible or liable for any costs that may be incurred by any attendees to ECE 2023 for testing, quarantine or insurance costs.

ESE is working with all venues being used for ECE 2023 in Istanbul, Turkey to ensure that they are working to the highest standards of COVID-19 compliance based on the local Turkish regulations and that all necessary sanitation and hygiene precautions are made.

The Halic Congress Centre is fully operational and has relaxed its COVID-19 security measures. Social distancing and the wearing of masks are left to the discretion of the attendee. Hand sanitising is promoted throughout the congress centre with sanitising stations liberally available in all areas.

In the event that COVID-19 restrictions have to be implemented at the Congress venue, there will be a limit to the number of people permitted in the venue at any one time. If this happens, we will review our booking list and we will exchange in-person tickets for an ECE@Home ticket, giving you access to live-streamed sessions and ESE On Demand. Please check your travel and accommodation terms and conditions, along with your travel insurance policy, in the unlikely event that ESE has to cancel ECE 2023 or your participation in Istanbul due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Please note: ESE will not cover or be responsible for any losses or costs associated with accommodation or travel to ECE 2023. Accommodation and travel costs are the sole responsibility of delegates, the ESE is unable to refund pre-booked accommodation and travel costs and this will be at the discretion of individual hotels and providers.

Please also see our full Terms and Conditions.

However, neither ESE nor its committees, representatives or agents, shall be held liable for any injury, damage or inconvenience which may be suffered by any person while travelling to or from, or during such person's presence in Turkey in connection with the Congress. Participants are fully liable for damages caused to third parties and property. All delegates shall have a valid, fully comprehensive third-party liability insurance.

We recognise the growing impact our activities and events have on the environment; therefore we are working on an environmental policy detailing how we are decreasing our environmental impact.

We are in the process of working on a wider environmental policy across all of ESE's activities and you can view this here - Environmental policy | ESE (ese-hormones.org)

ECE 2023 includes a commercial exhibition. Only registered delegates are allowed in the exhibition area.

The exhibition is an integral part of the Congress and will be in the areas outside the session rooms for you to enjoy as you arrive, in breaks and between sessions - as well as in the Poster sessions. There will be a wide range of companies and Patient Advocacy Groups participating, with information to update and inform you.

All the general health and hygiene rules already mentioned will be applicable in the exhibition hall and on booths. The exhibitor is responsible for their exhibition space and therefore responsible to for safety and cleanliness. Commercial, promotional materials and gadgets should be made available to attendees in a "self-service" mode. The exhibition area will always be staffed by a trained team.

Read information signs that are placed throughout the Congress spaces indicating the hygiene and health rules that need to be adhered to.

A First Aid room will be available at the venue. Please come to registration or the ESE stand if you or someone you are with needs assistance.

Hot and cold drinks and lunches are included in the registration fee for a full Congress in-person ticket and will be served daily in the exhibition area. The catering areas will be staffed to serve the food and drink during breaks and lunch.

The official language of ECE 2023 is English.

  • All media, journalists etc. attending ECE 2023 must gain approval from a speaker/poster presenter prior to quoting or publishing that individual’s scientific results on the internet or through other forms of media. We recognise the growing impact our activities and events have on the environment; therefore the printed programme book you will receive in Istanbul will be a lot smaller than previous years (similar to ECE 2022).

We encourage you to view the Abstract List electronically and make full use of ESE On Demand to plan your programme during the Congress.

We are not able to accept registrations for any accompanying people (including spouses and children) at ECE 2023. This is due to health and safety considerations and our adherence to the Pharmaceutical Code of Practice around the promotion of products to non-Health Care Professionals.

For registered delegates who are parents with infants and babes in arms, there will be a breastfeeding room available close to the main registration area. Please ask the staff at the Registration Desk to show you where this is. There are no childcare facilities onsite at the Congress, therefore childcare should be arranged separately in Istanbul. To comply with insurance and safety requirements, infants must always be held or be in a pushchair. Entry to the breastfeeding room is subject to all regular ECE 2023 Congress entry regulations.

Babies are permitted to enter the Congress venue with their parent/carer to travel to and from the breastfeeding room only. Please note that children and spouses are not permitted in any ECE 2023 session halls, exhibition areas or adjoining spaces under any circumstances.

We thank you for your understanding.
