Patient Information Leaflet for Hypoparathyroidism

Introduction

In August 2015, the European Society of Endocrinology published the first clinical guidelines on the treatment of chronic hypoparathyroidism in adults in the European Journal of Endocrinology. These guidelines sought to improve the clinical treatment of patients with hypoparathyroidism as well as addressing the effect of the disorder during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

ESE worked with hypoparathyroidism patient support groups on the guideline and produced this patient information leaflet aimed at providing information on the condition as well as what to expect during clinical diagnosis and management.

There are also a number of links to patient support groups throughout Europe where patients will be able to get more information as well as access to support networks.

The leaflet is available in a selection of alternative languages using the related documents links below. These leaflets have been translated in collaboration with national patient organisations. To discuss translations in additional languages, please contact ESE.
