Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency (AGHD) audit collection commences
Over 70 registered participation centres can now start adding their anonymous and specific patient data into a customised MS Access database that ESE has designed for them to host locally. Once a participating centre has generated their aggregated data, they transfer the results to ESE via an online custom form along with their supplementary opinions on local AGHD patient perspectives.
The European Society of Endocrinology audit and multi-country comparison of Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency (AGHD) treatment in clinical practice in Europe, Australia and New Zealand is intended to investigate how closely protocols and best practice recommendations are followed.
In late 2019, ESE's subsequent analysis of the aggregated data from all participating centres across 28 countries, will establish how well diagnosis and treatment of pan-European AGHD patients is happening compared to guidance.
