Engaging with e-ECE online

Manel Puig Domingo, Professor and Head of Endocrinology and Nutrition service, Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol and Research Institute (IGTP), Barcelona, Spain shares his thoughts.

"At my institute in Barcelona, we were fully engaged in e-ECE 2020, and the senior members ensured that the junior members of the team had time away from their clinical duties to participate and learn from the congress. We supported them financially in registering for the meeting, and organised and promoted group discussions around the sessions. We found a high value in this virtual presentation of the congress, which was very accessible and conducive to a good learning environment. As there was so much content available, it was also very helpful to have the sessions available afterwards to ‘catch up’. As a long-time member and supporter of ESE the congress is very close to my heart; I am personally delighted with the way this has been adapted at this difficult time. We are all very much are looking forward to e-ECE 2021 and are sure that it will be equally stimulating!"
