New PARAT WebHub provides free access to unique medical education
PARAT – the ESE Educational Programme on Parathyroid Disorders – reached a significant milestone when it recently established 33 expert recommendations on how to best diagnose, manage and treat parathyroid disorder patients.
The PARAT programme outputs reflect a collaboration by 100 leading parathyroid experts, from over 20 countries, completing 15 inter-connected activities over the past four years. Led by the PARAT expert Steering committee, the community set out to establish improved awareness and understanding of how to promote best clinical practice around:
- Primary Hyperparathyroidism
- Chronic Hypoparathyroidism in Adults
- Preconception, Pregnancy and Lactation
The latest recommendations will be published within an EJE invited review entitled “European Expert Consensus on Practical Management of Specific Aspects of Parathyroid Disorders in Adults and in Pregnancy” in February 2022. You can read the author accepted manuscript here.
All PARAT findings are being translated into a suite of medical education materials and made available for free to expert and non-expert communities, via the new PARAT WebHub. The expanding collection of resources includes:
- On-demand webinars
- Faculty focused videos
- Clinical case eMCQs
- Concise recommendation summaries
- Plus slide decks, patient materials, archival articles, workshop reports and abstracts
Further clinical cases and PARAT outputs will become available in January 2022.
