Abstract/poster Awards                                                                                 

The eight best posters at ECE 2024 will be awarded a prize worth €250 each. The ESE Poster Awards are bestowed by the Programme Organising Committee (POC) to the presenting authors of the eight selected posters. The selection criteria are based on the scientific content and on quality of the poster presentation. The eight award-winning posters, four basic and four clinical, will be shortlisted by the POC Chair and Co-Chairs. The winners will be announced during the Closing Ceremony at 17:30 on Tuesday 14 May 2024 in the Victoria Hall.

App

The ECE 2024 App is now available, providing comprehensive information about the this year's Congress, including the programme, award winners, listings for oral and rapid presentations, and all other features. Download it from the App Store or Google Play to access all features.

Badge info

If you have registered for ECE 2024, you should have received an e-Badge via email. Please bring this digital message and a form of ID to the Congress. At the self-registration area, scan the QR Code on your e-Badge to print it out. Your badge must be worn at all times as it grants access to all sessions and any networking events you have registered for or paid to attend.

Bring a water bottle

Please remember to stay hydrated throughout your days at ECE 2024. Feel free to bring your own water bottle, as there are water coolers conveniently located around the congress venue, available for you to refill at any time.

CME Accreditation

The European Congress of Endocrinology, Stockholm, Sweden 11/05/2024 - 14/05/2024, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 16.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.”

Please note that in order to receive CME accreditation you will need to be scanned into each session. There will be hostesses at each session who will scan your badge to register your attendance.

Following the Congress all attendees will be sent an evaluation form by email to complete. This will also be made available via the ECE 2024 Congress platform. All feedback will make a considerable difference and help us to improve future congresses. Following completion of the evaluation form a CME certificate will be emailed within 14 working days of the survey closing date.

For the ECE@Home content, CME points will only be awarded if:

  • You have completed an evaluation for each session you attended (this is only triggered once at least 20 minutes has been viewed)
  • The post-event survey is completed.

One CME point will be awarded per hour viewed. Your CME points will be calculated based on your total live viewing time over the four live Congress days, providing the above criteria has been met.

CME accreditation will also be available for ESE On Demand content.

Congress e-bag

The Congress e-bag offers further information about our congress partners, along with additional congress features. By using the QR code system, you can access detailed information about our partners and sponsors, view upcoming ESE events, and download handbooks that include all posters, orals, and rapid presentations listings and MTE interviews.

Currency

The Swedish SEK (and the Euro) are the two main currencies that are officially recognised as legal tender in Stockholm, Sweden.

ECE Hubs/headphones

You can enjoy all sessions in the ECE Hubs in open theatre style or access the audio through your own device and headset. Simply scan the provided QR code displayed on the ECE Hub walls to connect the sound directly to your phone or tablet.

First Aid

A First Aid support will be available at Stockholmsmässan. Please come to Registration Desk or the ESE stand in the Exhibition Hall if you, or anyone, needs assistance. For emergencies dial 112. Any emergencies that occur while onsite at ECE 2024 must be reported to the Organiser's Office.

How to print your own programme

To help our delegates create a more sustainable Congress experience, we're introducing an innovative way to personalise and download your ECE 2024 Congress programme, eliminating the need for unnecessary printing. Follow these steps to create and download your personalised programme:

  1. Visit the full scientific programme at https://ese-hormonesapps.m-anage.com/ece2024/en-GB/page.
  2. Log into your account by clicking the "Sign in" button.
  3. Browse the sessions, courses, and workshops available. When you find a session of interest, click on it to view more details.
  4. To add the session to your personalised programme, click "Add to my programme."
  5. Once you've selected all your sessions, access your personalised programme by clicking on "My Programme," located in the third of the four tabs at the top of the page. Here, you'll see only the sessions you've chosen.
  6. To download a PDF version of your personalised programme, simply click the "Download" button located at the top left corner of the "My Programme" page, just below the overview tab. This action will automatically create a PDF for you to save to your device or print at home before attending the Congress.

Remember, your programme download can be updated daily as you add more sessions to your "My Programme" category, allowing for a dynamic and flexible planning experience.

By opting for a digital programme, you're contributing to our efforts to host a more environmentally friendly ECE 2024.

Language

The official language of ECE 2024 is English.

Meals

Tea, coffee and lunches are included in the registration fee and will be served during the scheduled breaks.

Non-smoking policy

In accordance with the policy of ESE, this is a non-smoking event. Delegates wishing to smoke may do so outside the venue in designated smoking areas.

Opening and Closing Ceremonies

The Opening Ceremony of ECE 2024 will be held in Victoria Hall on Saturday 11 May 2024 at 16:00. The Opening Ceremony will consist of the Nobel Prize Plenary lecture, the Geoffrey Harris Prize Lecture, the European Journal of Endocrinology Prize Lecture, and a welcome to Stockholm from the ESE President, POC and LOC. This will be followed by the Welcome Reception in the Exhibition Foyer. The Closing Ceremony of ECE 2024 will be held in Victoria Hall on Tuesday 14 May 2024 at 17:20, where the 2024 Poster Awards and Young Investigator Awards will be presented. 

Patient Advocacy Groups

ECE 2024 will again include the Patient Experience Zone and the Patient’s Voice Hub. The Patient Experience Zone will be situated in the Exhibition Hall, with a number of ESE’s affiliated Patient Advocacy Groups in attendance to share information about their organisations and the important link they provide direct to patients. The Patient’s Voice Hub sessions will take place on Sunday 12 and Monday 13 May, from 12:40 in the ECE Hubs. Please join these sessions to find out more about these important organisations.

Photography

Please kindly respect the 'No photography' policy in place at the Congress. Please note that you may be asked to leave the lecture room if you are taking photos of presentations or posters. An official photographer has been appointed for the event; photographs may be used for promotional purposes by ESE, e.g. by inclusion on the website and/or marketing materials. If you have any concerns or queries regarding this, please email ece2024@endocrinology.org.

Prayer room

There is a Rooms of Silence located to the right of the main entrance of Stockholmsmässan,  next to the Organiser’s Office which will be clearly signposted. Please ask a member of the events team or venue staff should you require any assistance in locating this rooms.

Press

Fully accredited members of the Press are invited to attend ECE 2024. For more information, please contact Imogen.Smith@bioscientifica.com or visit the press office (Room M14 on the mezzanine opposite the Exhibition Hall). We ask that all writers attending ECE 2024 gain approval from a speaker/poster presenter prior to quoting or publishing that individual’s scientific results on the internet or through other forms of media. This policy applies to both professional writers/journalists and to non-journalists blogging about the Congress or otherwise sharing information amongst a group of individuals.

Speakers slide preview room

The slide preview facility is located to the left before you enter the Exhibition Hall. All presentations must be uploaded via the speaker preview room at least 2 hours ahead of the related session. It will not be possible to present from personal laptops in the session rooms. Technical staff will be available at the speaker preview room from 07:30 to 19:30 each day to support the upload and review of presentations.

Social Media Policy

Please do share your experiences at ECE on your social channels. To ensure that the needs of all parties are met, we ask that delegates using social media comply with the following policy.

  • Please refrain from taking photos of any session/poster without prior consent from the Congress organisers.
  • Photos of exhibition stands are strictly prohibited except with the express permission of the exhibiting company
  • All delegates are respectfully asked to refrain from communicating using mobile devices whilst lectures are in progress. We encourage all delegates to make use of our social media hashtags: #ECE2024 #EUWIN, #EuropeanHormoneDay and #BecauseHormonesMatter
