EuroPit 2022 - Tea Shehu-Kolnikaj
I am writing this to express my deep gratitude for the European Society of Endocrinology running EuroPit for so many years - the unique multidisciplinary course, which brings together the most expert professors in the world in the field of endocrinology, neurosurgery, imaging, pathology, radiotherapy on neuroendocrine tumors of pituitary gland, and young European doctors who present excellent clinical cases.
When I decided to apply for EuroPit 2022, I started to dream how great it would be to have the opportunity to be accepted to participate to this event, without even imagining what perfect organisation by the ESE staff it could offer.
EuroPit is not only a course, but above all an excellent opportunity for networking, sharing experiences, meeting wonderful people and consolidating the common passion for diagnosis and treatment of neuroendocrine tumors and other pituitary pathologies.
I want to thank all lecturers, especially Professor Popovic, who was responsible for the case report presentations, Professor Martin Reincke, President of ESE, Professor Jacqueline Trouillas, who produced EuroPit, and the Scientific Committee, Professors Marta Korbonits, Michael Buchfelder, Gérald Raverot and Emmanuel Jouanneau, giving young European doctors an extraordinary opportunity. Thanks also to the pharmaceutical sponsors for their support for EuroPit.
I was very honoured to be the winner of the first prize for the best presentation of a clinical case, during this 10 year anniversary, when Albania was participating for the first time. It was a great pleasure to share our experiences with all the delegates at EuroPit 2022.
EuroPit was a course with a very high scientific level, but on the other hand, it was like a “family” where the professors kindly gave their advice to help advance everyone's career. I hope that the EuroPit tradition continues, because it is an excellent way to implement the Hippocratic Oath of educating younger generations.
With great respect,
