Patient Information Leaflet for Hypoparathyroidism

In August 2015, the European Society of Endocrinology published new clinical guidelines on the treatment of chronic hypoparathyroidism in adults in the European Journal of Endocrinology. These guidelines are the first to address this condition and are aimed at improving the clinical treatment of patients with hypoparathyroidism as well as addressing the effect of the disorder during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The European Society of Endocrinology worked with hypoparathyroidism patient support groups on the guideline and have produced a patient information leaflet aimed at providing information on the condition as well as what to expect during clinical diagnosis and management.

There are also a number of links to patient support groups throughout Europe where patients will be able to get more information as well as access to support networks.
