Patient Advocacy Group Affiliate Membership
Through ESE’s Patient Advocacy Group (PAG) Affiliate Membership, PAGs can be formally affiliated to ESE, and benefit from support to assist them in achieving their objectives.
About the ESE PAG Affiliate Membership Scheme
All of ESE’s activities are underpinned by our ambition to provide the best possible care and support to patients with endocrine diseases. In 2021 the ESE Patient Advocacy Group (PAG) Affiliate Membership Scheme was created to enable us to connect directly with patients and patient advocates, and ensure that the patient's voice is reflected across all our activities.
Since its inception, the Scheme has grown from 10 founding member PAGs, to now over 30, and this number continues to rise.
By patients, for patients: The ESE PAG Communities
Given the rapid growth of the PAG Affiliate Membership Scheme, and to ensure we remain inclusive and can best support the needs of PAGs covering all areas of endocrinology, in 2025 the PAG Affiliate Membership Scheme was adapted to create PAG Communities, aligned with ESE's Focus Areas.
Through this Community structure, PAGs can collaborate with other similar groups, sharing resources and discussing the key issues affecting their patient members.
Why Join ESE as a PAG Affiliate Member?
PAGs play an essential role in ensuring that patients throughout Europe have access to the best information about their condition as well as to diagnosis and care. We see this as a two-way partnership: PAGS are uniquely placed to provide an important patient perspective to inform ESE’s initiatives, and ESE can support PAGs in their activities by giving patients a voice in our policy and advocacy strategies and providing access to up-to-date medical information.
The ESE PAG Affiliate Membership is free of charge to Patient Groups who meet all the criteria opposite.
