There are also EU funding opportunities outside Horizon Europe. These other programmes are mostly focused not on research per se bur rather provide support for those interested in activities  such as training and education, capacity building and policy and advocacy.

LIFE

This programme supports projects in the areas of awareness raising, environmental training and capacity building, legislative compliance and enforcement, knowledge development and public and stakeholder participation. The programme provides interesting opportunities for environmental endocrinology specialists.

Erasmus

For those who are interested in their further education and training or in building capacity and in exchange of best practices in education and training for your organisation, Erasmus is your point of call. One of key priorities of the programme is digital transformation and the programme will support the development of a high-performing digital education ecosystem. Another priority of Erasmus is environment and fight against climate change, therefore the programme will support building of knowledge, skills and attitudes on climate change and sustainable development both within the European Union and beyond

EU4Health Programme

is an ambitious and dedicated funding programme for 2021-2027 to ensure a high level of human health protection. EU4Health is the largest EU health programme ever in monetary terms and will provide funding to EU countries, health organisations and NGOs. The programme will provide opportunities for those interested in public health policy and advocacy and healthcare systems capacities building. For example, EU4Health will fund activities supporting the uptake of digital tools and services and the digital transformation of healthcare systems, including the creation of a European Health Data Space; promotion of  the implementation of best practices and of data sharing; and enhancing access to quality, patient-centred, outcome-based healthcare and related care services.

Digital Europe

Digital Europe is a new programme dedicated to the digital transformation of public services and businesses (including healthcare sector), by boosting frontline investments in high-performance computing and data, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and advanced digital skills, as well as large-scale deployment of digital technologies across European economic sectors. In Healthcare domain, Digital Europe programme supports focus on improving lives and managing diseases through a data driven EU healthcare system.

COST

The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) provides international research funding for researchers to set up their interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond. Through these networks, the so-called COST Actions, COST provides funds for organising meetings, training schools, short term scientific missions or other networking activities in a wide range of scientific topics. COST Biomedicine and Molecular Biosciences domain covers all areas of medicine in Europe including fundamental, preclinical and clinical medical research developed to materialise the “bench to bedside” concept.
