- Abstract submission deadline - Wednesday 20 January 2027 23:59 CET
- Late-breaking abstract submission deadline - opens on Wednesday 10 March until Tuesday 23 March 2027 23:59 CET (please note this is only for truly late breaking data and research)
Accepted abstracts are presented as Posters, ePosters, Rapid Communications or Oral Communications.
All accepted abstracts submitted will also be published in a supplement of the European Journal of Endocrinology (EJE) - 29th European Congress of Endocrinology Abstract supplement – a fully open access and citable collection of all the abstracts presented at ECE 2027. You may also be eligible for one of our ESE Abstract Achievement Awards.
At least one author from each accepted abstract must be identified as the presenting author on the submission form. Furthermore, this presenting author must register to attend ECE 2027 and present this work at the Congress. Abstracts will not be published if this condition is not met.
You will be notified of acceptance or rejection by mid-March 2027, in advance of the Super Early Bird registration deadline. For Late-breaking abstract submissions, you will be notified of acceptance or rejection by mid-April 2027.
Abstracts have to be submitted within the original Abstract submission window (before 20 January 2027) for the presenting author to be eligible for an ECE meeting grant and abstract awards.
For abstract queries, please contact ece2027-abstracts@interplan.de.

The ESE Exceptional Abstract Awards are for current ESE Early Career members who have an accepted basic, translational or clinical abstract for the European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE) 2027. The winners of the Awards are those who receive the highest abstract scores.
There are up to 24 ESE Exceptional Abstract Awards, each worth €400. The awards are to support the attendance of the presenting author at ECE 2027. The winners will also receive a certificate that will be presented to them at the Congress.
Note that Late-breaking abstracts will not be considered.
Applicants must indicate on the abstract form whether they are eligible for an ESE Exceptional Abstract Award.
- These awards are for ESE Early Career members who have submitted an abstract to ECE 2027 (basic, translational or clinical).
- To receive the Award, the presenting author must register and attend ECE 2027.
- Case reports will only be considered if they describe a new condition with underpinning mechanistic scientific work.
- An individual can only win one ESE Exceptional Abstract Award at any ECE.
- Winners of the ESE Exceptional Abstract Awards will not be eligible to receive a separate ECE travel grant but can apply for a travel grant for other ESE events.
The Awards are based on the achieved abstract scores, as determined by the ECE abstract reviewers; the final decision is made by the ECE Programme Organising Committee.
