Braga Endocrinology Course 2026: ONE DAY, ONE THEME - Cardiovascular Risk and Atherosclerosis

Braga Endocrinology Course 2026 is a one-day, 100% online live educational course focused on cardiovascular risk and atherosclerosis, taking place on 9 October 2026, from 14:00 to 18:00 (Lisbon time).
The course brings together specialists in endocrinology, cardiology and atherosclerosis to provide a clinically oriented update on cardiovascular risk assessment and management. The scientific programme covers cardiovascular risk scores and modifiers, subclinical atherosclerosis, residual risk beyond low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, genetic risk factors, inflammation and microbiota, as well as cardiovascular risk in specific populations, including women and menopause, obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, and type 1 diabetes.
The programme also includes clinical case discussions and short oral presentations.
The course is supported by the Portuguese Society of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism (SPEDM), a member of the ESE Council of Affiliated Societies (ECAS), as well as the Portuguese Society of Atherosclerosis (SPA) and the Portuguese Society for the Study of Obesity (SPEO).
