Our Annual Special Recognition award recognises those persons who have provided exceptional support to the European Society of Endocrinology in a particular area or for a specific project. Nominations are received through and considered by the Executive Committee.

2023 - Jacqueline Trouillas

In recognition of her being instrumental in launching the highly respected EuroPit meeting, having its 10th anniversary in 2022.

2022 - Ljiljana Marina, Serbia

In recognition of valuable contribution to ESE and the ESE Young Endocrinologists and Scientists (EYES) through the development of the ESE website project and the EYES Newsletter.

2022 - Camilla Schalin-Jäntti, Finland

In recognition of her outstanding contribution as an Executive Committee member and her commitment to the development of ESE’s postgraduate education during her time as Chair of the Education Committee.

2022 - Bulent Yildiz, Turkey

In recognition of his long-term service to ESE as a member of the Executive Committee (2014-2020), and his outstanding contribution as ESE Treasurer and maintaining the financial stability of our Society.

In recognition of his extremely valuable contribution and engagement in the Society’s activities.

In recognition of her dedication to ESE through the substantial development of the nurse activities in Europe through the Nurses Working Group.

In recognition of his services to the Education Committee (2015-2019) and being instrumental in the development of the ESE Recommended Curriculum and the European Board Examination in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
