Patient Advocacy Group (PAG) Grants
Applications for grants to attend ECE 2026 will open shortly
ESE's Affiliated Patient Advocacy Group Membership Scheme now consists of seven 'PAG Communities', aligned with ESE's Focus Areas. Each Community is represented by up to two individuals who are formal representatives of an ESE affiliated PAG.
PAG Community representatives have the opportunity to apply for a grant worth €400, as a contribution towards the cost of attending ECE and representing the whole PAG Community through hosting a Patient's Voice session and/or an information desk in the Patient Experience Zone.
PAG Community representatives will be contacted when grants open with details of how to claim their allocated grant. For any questions about PAG grants or participation at the Congress please contact Natalie Dass.
For more information on the ESE PAG Affiliate Membership Scheme, or to join, please visit the membership pages.
- PAG grants are offered to nominated PAG Community representatives. If the nominated representative is unable, or does not wish to attend ECE, the grant can be allocated to another Community member as agreed with the relevant Community.
- PAG Community representatives must be hosting an information desk in the Patient Experience Zone, and/or supporting a Patient's Voice session at the Congress.
Application Process
PAG grants are provided to PAG Community representatives. An application form will be provided to individual representatives so that the relevant details can be collected to support the reimbursement process.
Selection Process
Applications will be checked to ensure that grants are only allocated to PAG Community representatives, or a nominated substitute as agreed by the PAG Community.
Grants are paid after the event/meeting and on receipt of an expense claim form and supporting receipts or documentation. These need to be submitted to the ESE Office within 6 weeks of the ECE meeting that has been attended, or the application will be void.
Please contact the ESE Office for further information.
Please note: We are unable to provide grants to individuals or institutions currently under sanction according to the consolidated list of financial sanctions targets in the UK, as listed here.
Applications are verified to ensure this is not the case before a grant is awarded. ESE does not permit sanctioned individuals or individuals from sanctioned institutions to attend any ESE events.
