Update on increased ESE membership benefits and new fees for 2024

GREAT NEWS FOR ESE MEMBERS: Improving your Membership experience

Some exciting new improvements to your member experience are being rolled out in December and January as part of ESE’s digital transformation strategy, to help support our continuing development and our ability to support you in the best way possible.

First, we are rolling out a new design and upgrade to the ESE website in early December at www.ese-hormones.org. The previous one was launched in 2017, so an upgrade was due. We hope you like the fresh new look, with improved navigation, content organisation and searchability, so you can find the information that is important to you.

Second, we are launching a new membership management system in mid-December which enables us to better understand your needs as our members, and make sure we send you information that will interest you, based on your interests and activities.

As a result, you can look forward to an even better experience for your 2024 membership renewals, and future grant and award applications as well as registration for our events and courses.

Thirdly, we are introducing a learning management system – a new ‘knowledge centre’ - in the spring to support the delivery of our educational events, and to store the library of past events in a friendly and accessible way.

Please bear with us if we need to sort out any issues over the coming months, as these new systems settle into place. Please let us know if you have any issues or any questions - email us! .

2024 RENEWALS

If you are a current ESE Member you will receive  your 2024 membership renewal notification in early January. In January you will also be able to check your contact and membership category details are up to date by logging into the brand new Members’ Area at www.ese-hormones.org (click ‘Login’ on the top right hand corner). The first time you log in to the new Members’ Area you will be prompted to register and create a new password. Please use the email address you use for your ESE Membership; you will no longer require your membership number at this step.

The application form to join ESE as a new member is currently unavailable while we upgrade our membership management system. We apologise for any inconvenience, but if you are not a current member, or have a colleague who wants to become one, you will be able to apply for membership from late December and we will welcome your application then. If you have any queries, or to register your interest in applying, please contact us at info@ese-hormones.org.

As you will remember from the AGM in May, ESE’s membership fees have remained unchanged since 2012. So that we can continue working with you to shape the future of endocrinology and to provide you with an increasing range of valuable benefits, you voted at the 2023 Annual General Meeting to support an increase in membership fees for 2024.

Importantly, the new rates mean that all ESE Members and others working in any area of endocrinology will still have access to our tiered membership fees. These include concessionary rates for people in low- and middle-income countries, as well as for members of our National Partner Societies (www.ese-homones.org/membership-nationalsocieties) and for early career members, students, nurses and allied health professionals (AHPs).

From 2024, you can also choose to support those eligible for a concessionary rate by opting to pay the full fee.

The new rates will help secure a sustainable future for the Society’s valuable work in improving science, knowledge and health across Europe and beyond. This means ESE can continue to provide you with the wide range of benefits, and to grow and broaden our activities.
