People's Choice Awards

The People's Choice Awards are awarded to the best clinical, basic and translational abstract on display at ECE and are voted for by the congress delegates and the ECE Programme Organising Committee (POC). Each award is worth €250.

There is no application process. The top 15 clinical and 15 basic science /translational posters are reviewed by the Congress delegates and members of the ECE Programme Organising Committee (POC) during the congress.

  • The applicant will be the presenting author of the poster during ECE.

  • The applicant must be a current member of ESE and be within 10 years post-PhD or MD.

One abstract from each category (clinical, basic science and translational) will be awarded from the top 15 clinical and 15 basic science/translational poster abstracts which attained the best ratings during the abstract evaluation process, based on the scientific content. During the congress, delegates will vote for their favourite through a QR code (which will be provided). Delegates’ votes count for 50% of the score, with the other 50% coming from the POC.

Please note – it is not possible to be awarded both a Poster Award and a People’s Choice Award. The POC’s decision is final.
