Nurse Grants

ESE is pleased to offer the following Grants for ESE Nurse members to support their attendance at the 2024 European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE) in Stockholm, Sweden:
- 30 Grants of up to €400 for Nurses
The grant application deadline for ECE grants was 15 March 2024 (now closed).
PLEASE NOTE: You need to be a fully paid-up ESE Member before you apply for a grant. If your grant application is successful, and you have not been able to register for ECE before the Super Early Bird deadline of 25 March 2024, then the Super Early Bird registration rate will still be given to you. Do not wait until you hear whether your abstract submission has been successful or not, apply today for an ECE grant.
The appropriate grant amount will be allocated depending on where you are located (up to €200 for Nurses based in Sweden and up to €400 for Nurses based in other countries) and communicated to you following the closure of the grant deadline, as detailed below.
If you are successful in securing a grant, you will be given a code to use for your ECE registration so you don’t need to pay the fee directly. This amount will be deducted from the overall grant amount awarded to you. If at that time, you have not been able to register for ECE before the Super Early Bird deadline of 25 March 2024, then the Super Early Bird registration rate will still be given to you.

The grants are available to ESE Members only so when you click on the form you will be asked to log in to your Members’ Area. (If you are a Member and you have not yet registered on the new ESE portal please enter your email at the first screen and then proceed to create an account). To apply for an ESE Nurse Grant, you must be a current member of ESE and a nurse.

- ESE Nurse Grants are only available to eligible ESE Nurse Members who are attending ECE in person. They can be used for payment towards travel, accommodation or registration.
- ESE Nurse Grants are only available to delegates who are not fully funded by industry.
- Only one grant will be issued for attendance at ECE (i.e., either a Nurse Grant or Meeting Grant, not both).
You will be notified if your application has been successful or not within 10 working days of the closing date for applications. The Treasurer’s decision is final.
Grants are paid to applications after the event/meeting and on receipt of an expense claim form and supporting receipts or documentation. These need to be submitted to the ESE Office within 6 weeks of the ECE meeting that has been attended, or the application will be void. Payment to an institution can be made in advance of the meeting or event.

Please note: We are unable to provide grants to individuals or institutions currently under sanction according to the consolidated list of financial sanctions targets in the UK, as listed here.
Applications are verified to ensure this is not the case before a grant is awarded. ESE does not permit sanctioned individuals or individuals from sanctioned institutions to attend any ESE events.
