Summary
The course covers theoretical background and practical training of thyroid and neck ultrasound examination, fine needle aspiration biopsy, and thermal ablation of thyroid nodules. The theoretical part consists of six lectures by European experts. In the practical session, participants have an opportunity to train thyroid and neck ultrasound and fine needle aspiration with a thyroid phantom and real patients, with individual assistance by the lecturers.
In addition this course provides a review of the latest advances in thyroid ultrasound techniques delivered through presentations, interactive discussions and practical sessions working with thyroid patients.
