Apart from specific endocrine related health policy aspects, ESE also raises the voice of endocrinology in other policy debates with an impact on health and endocrinology. As a member of the BioMed Alliance in Europe, ESE engages with other scientific and medical societies in the discussions around e.g. the European Health Data Space or the EU Regulation on In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices (IVDR), that may have an important impact on data collection for research purposes or on the functioning of clinical and research laboratories, respectively.

ESE and partners reach out to Members of the European Parliament to reject parts of the Food and Feed Safety Omnibus
On 2 September 2026, ESE with the Endocrine Society and European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) sent a letter to Members of the European Parliament who sit on the AGRI (Agriculture) and ENVI (Public Health and Environment) Committee, urging them to reject parts of the Food and Feed Safety Omnibus that could weaken protections against harmful chemicals, including endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs).
